| The Herman Brown Free Library is located on the square in Burnet. The library is supported by the entire community and currently has 30,000 volumes including excellent historical reference books, genealogy research materials, large print books, video cassette tapes, children's books and current adult titles. Other services include weekly story hours for preschoolers, adult reading literacy and G.E.D. study programs, computers, internet access and counselors to teach the novice computer user, and a meeting room for community use. The library strives to meet the educational, informational and recreational needs of the entire community. |

 The Burnet Community center is located on the Southwest corner of Jackson Street and Boundary Street. It has a large capacity meeting room, full kitchen and restroom facilities. |
