Recurring Events
Coffee & Conversation – Typically held the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 8-9am at Hill Country Community Foundation/ Reed Building. The first 15 minutes is devoted to networking. Then there are attendee introductions and an update from a community leader on a topic relevant to the business community. There are typically about 25 attendees. There is no fee to attend. Sponsorship is available for $100.
Business After Hours – Typically held mid-month on a Thursday from 5-7pm. This come-and-go networking event is always held at a fun location (such as a winery). Food & drink (including alcohol) are provided. There is no fee to attend. There are typically about 25-30 attendees. In some cases, another business sponsors the event to help offset the host’s costs.
Lunch & Learn Educational Seminars – Held 3-4 times a year, these seminars are designed to provide takeaways that you can easily apply to your business. Past luncheons have included topics such as Canva, SEO, and social media marketing. The cost to attend is usually only $10 for members which includes lunch. Attendance varies based on the popularity of the topic.
Women in Business – Held in partnership with the Bertram Chamber of Commerce, this luncheon provides time to network and enjoy lunch. After that, there is a panel discussion on a topic of interest to business women. Sponsorship is available. There are future plans to hold Women in Business Socials.
Annual Events
Annual Awards Banquet – Held the 2nd Saturday in February. Great opportunity for networking along with recognizing those who have made significant contributions to the community.
Burnet Bluebonnet Festival – Held the 2nd weekend in April, this is Burnet’s signature event! The festival includes three days of live music, 300+ arts & crafts vendors, a parade, a pet parade, car show, demolition derby, and so much more! Attendance: 35,000
Breakfast of Champions – Recognizes high school students that have made all A’s all year. Students receive a nice breakfast and a certificate. Their photo gets posted on social media and in the newspaper.
Christmas on the Square – Fun community festival held the second Saturday in December. Includes 200 arts & crafts vendors, bicycle giveaway for kids, parade, and real snow! Attendance: Nearly 15,000 people
