Burnet County Democrats Host ‘Water and Wine’ with Julie Oliver
Co-founder of Ground Game Texas
The Burnet County Democratic Club will host a water and wine membership meeting on Sunday, February 26, 2 PM to 4 PM, at the Cadillac Dance Hall, 1375 FM 1855, Marble Falls, Texas.
The meeting will feature Julie Oliver, co-founder of Ground Game Texas.
Oliver states, “Ground Game Texas’ fundamental aim is to increase participation in our democracy. We are investing in people and engaging year-round with voters, having deep conversations with them, and building local campaigns on popular, progressive issues with a ‘boots on the ground’ focus.”
Ground Game Texas partners with community organizations such as Sunrise Movement in El Paso, Mano Amiga in San Marcos, and the Austin Justice Coalition to achieve its goals.
Oliver is a healthcare finance expert who has campaigned for US Congress, District 25. She lives in Austin with her husband, Matt, 4 dogs, a cat, and their children. She serves her community by volunteering at the local food bank and on the board on Common Defense.
“We are honored to host Ground Game Texas and Julie Oliver. She is a dynamic community organizer and democratic warrior,” stated BCDC Vice President, Guy Stuart.
BCDC President Sue White added, “Oliver is truly a force for good in Texas, and is a knowledgeable and inspiring public speaker, as well. This should be an informative, motivating, and fun afternoon. Please come and join us.”
