Hike into the New Year with Burnet County Democrats

Introducing the Inaugural “Love DEM Hikes” with BCDCTX President Sue White

Jumping into 2023 with a…well….boot! The Burnet Country Democratic Club has organized the inaugural “Love DEM Hikes” event to take place on Saturday, January 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Balcones Canyonlands Doeskin Ranch unit. With trail options from very easy to moderately difficult, this hike will appeal to everyone wanting to get outdoors, burn off some holiday calories, and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery this local treasure grants us.

After the hike, some refreshments will be in order. All are welcome to join us to unwind and relax at Flanigan’s Texas Distillery and Winery in Bertram and experience their fun and unique IRISH AFTERNOON TEA; they offer selections of Irish and Texas-inspired foods, as well as their special house-made cocktails, wine, and spirits.

Come on out and meet Dr. Sue White, the newly elected BCDCTX President, get some fresh air and help us launch a new year on the left – OR right – foot. Everyone is welcome!

* Reservations are not necessary for the hike itself but are requested if planning on heading to Flanigan’s afterward, so we do not overwhelm them!
