Pollinator Appreciation Day October 15 at Inks Lake

Pollinator Appreciation Day- October 15 at Inks Lake State Park

Join us for a fun morning to learn about pollinators at the Park.

In honor of Annual Texas Pollinator BioBlitz (https://tpwd.texas.gov/education/bioblitz), join us here at Inks Lake State Park to learn about some of our native pollinators and just how important they are to us AND the Ecosystem as a whole.

All activities will be at Central Park.

10am
Texas Nature Tracker Biologist Craig Hensley will give a program and demonstration about how to do monarch tagging (something you can even do at home!!!)

11:30am-1pm
Walk around various tables and stations to learn about other pollinators including bees, hummingbirds, bats, and others! There will be some good information, handouts, and even an activity or two for the kiddos!

Cost: Free with park admission, and park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online! Please note: You do NOT need to register or make a reservation for this event, just be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending.

Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter (@InksLakeSP), Instagram, and Facebook for all the latest information about park events!

All events subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.
