SUMMARY:Pet Parade
DESCRIPTION:One of the most exciting events that kicks off the Bluebonnet Festival is the Pet Parade\, sponsored by Luedecke Photography. Any type of well-behaved pet is welcome to enter the parade. The parade has always included a variety of critters: dogs\, cats\, hamsters\, snakes\, birds\, goats and even a pig. Some pets are wearing the latest fashions\, some pets and their owners share a theme\, but most come as they are\, ready for lots of tail-wagging excitement. There is no age limit on pets or their owners and many entrants make it a family affair. There is no entry fee for the parade and prizes will be given away for a variety of categories. \nRegistration begins on Friday in front of the Herman Brown Free Library at 4:30! This year there is no pre-registration\, but you are encouraged to bring your already completed form.  The parade immediately follows opening ceremonies\, and goes around the historic square. Pets must be on a leash\, controlled\, and have a current rabies vaccination. Pet owners will be responsible for cleaning up after their pet\, so be sure to bring proper supplies. Don’t forget treats and water for your parade strutting friend! \nCome out to the Bluebonnet Festival Pet Parade\, as a participant or spectator. Cheer on your favorite pet\, and you may just get a wet kiss or two! It’s “pawsitively” pure fun for the whole family!

DESCRIPTION:The annual Bluebonnet Festival Grand Parade takes place on Saturday at Noon and is one of the biggest and best parades in central Texas. Marching bands\, antique cars\, horses\, fire trucks\, special performing groups such as the Sunrise Beach Lawn Chair Brigade and Hill Country Plungettes will bring a smile to everyone’s face\, from the very young to the young-at-heart. \nApproximately 150 entries will line up for the hour-long parade and head downtown to the heart of the festival. After going around the square\, the parade will head east on Jackson street\, back to the staging area at Wallace Riddell Park. Note: Parade entries has been closed for this year. \nParade route: Washington & Boundary to the Square and then along E. DESCRIPTION:Make plans to join fans for a fun-filled night of car crashing\, metal crunching excitement. The Annual Demolition Derby will take place on Saturday\, April 12th at the Burnet County Fairgrounds Rodeo Arena beginning at 6:00pm\, doors open at 4:00pm. This is a cash only event\, but there will be an ATM on site. Tickets will be on sale at the gate. The cost is $20.00 adults\, $10 ages 6-11 years\, kids 5 & under are free. This event is BYOB\, with a $10 cooler fee\, BUT PLEASE NO BOTTLES. Entertainment during the derby will include a Kids Power Wheel Race and Mrs. Demo Derby contest.
