DESCRIPTION:NORTHEAST BURNET COUNTY TRANSPORTATION STUDY\n\n\n\nBackground\nCAMPO and Burnet County are working together to identify transportation needs and recommendations for future improvements in Northeast Burnet County. The Study will include the evaluation of improvements along existing roadways. Burnet County and the six-county CAMPO region is experiencing significant growth and this growth is anticipated to continue. This Study is being conducted now to plan for future transportation needs as the population and employment in the area increase. \nFact Sheet\nStudy Goals and Objectives\n \nWhat the Study Will Accomplish\n The Northeast Burnet County Transportation Study will evaluate current and future roadway conditions\, anticipated development\, environmental constraints\, and gather public input to identify recommendations for transportation improvements in the area. The County could then use these recommendations to complete additional environmental analysis and schematic and detailed design for potential projects. \nPublic Involvement\nCommunity input is a key part of this study. Community input and commenting opportunities will be available throughout the study. Visit the online open house to review material\, leave comments about specific areas in the study area\, and complete a survey. The online open house and commenting is available through September 1\, 2023. \nContact the study team to learn more and request a speaker for community meetings.

With a membership of over 300\, it is difficult for Chamber staff to make calls and visits to all members. Ambassador retention calls make it possible for each member to receive personal contact. \nMonthly ambassador meetings will be held to familiarize Ambassadors with new members and upcoming Chamber happenings. Meetings also allow an opportunity to provide an update on individual retention visit and recruitment progress. Her unique quilting technique known as “Picture Piecing”\, unlike the more historical paper piecing method for sewing fabric pieces together\, requires less time and wasted fabric. \nHer quilts are known for their beautifully detailed imagery of architecture\, landscapes\, portraits and nature. England’s works of art most certainly were inspired by her experiences traveling across the globe lecturing in multiple countries and sharing her special quilting techniques with quilters in: North America\, South Africa\, Taiwan\, Japan\, South Korea\, Germany\, Canada\, Austria\, Spain and Mexico. HLQG is fortunate to introduce Cynthia England to the Hill Country quilters and we hope you will take time to join us for this fabulous presentation. \nHighland Lakes Quilt Guild (HLQG) meets from 9:00 am – Noon\, the third Wednesday of the month in the Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church\, 1101 Bluebonnet Dr. in Marble Falls. Members can attend workshops scheduled on the third Thursday of the month. All quilt lovers are welcome to join us for light refreshments\, followed by the monthly membership meeting and program. We are an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to continuing the education and celebration of quilt making combined with many opportunities to support our local charities.
