There are multiple award winning wineries within a short drive.
Wineries in Burnet
The wine triangle – Three award winning wineries, each just within a 15 minute drive from the other.
Wedding Oak Winery, located on the Burnet Square, is housed in a beautifully restored historic building dating from the 1880’s. The building includes a room perfect for small gatherings and an upstairs area with amazing views of the historic Square. The location makes it an easy place to walk to after shopping on the Square.
Torr Na Lochs Vineyard & Winery sits high above the Colorado River Valley, overlooking Inks and Buchanan Lakes. After making the leisurely half-mile drive along a granite gravel road to the Winery building, choose from a number of seating options for taking great Texas wines with an even greater view. All wines are made exclusively from Texas grown fruit.
Down in Hoover’s Valley, enjoy a view of the surrounding hills while visiting Perissos Vineyards‘ 16 acres of estate vines. The winery owners chose this location because of its unique soil composition, decomposed granite gravel. Their terroir allows them to grow and produce wines of great character and extremely high quality. Perissos lives by a “farming first” mentality. Come out to take in the breathtaking views of the vineyard and the surrounding rolling hills.
Beyond the wine triangle is one of Burnet’s newest wineries, 7 Creeks Vineyard, which is currently located on five acres. First planted in 2018, their philosophy was to plant and grow vines that best reflect Texas terroir. From Tannat, Mourvèdre, and Alicante Bouschet (Southern France) to Souzão (Portugal) to Vermentino (Italy) – these varietals were chosen because they thrive in the similar warm climate that we share.
