Highland Lakes Quilt Guild Invites You to Tour Three Quilt Museums February 21

Highland Lakes Quilt Guild invites you to take a walk with us through the collections of three quilt museums. Guild member Kathryn Rector narrates the history of quilting while she shares videos of her favorite exhibits at the: Iowa Quilt Museum, Missouri Quilt Museum, and the International Quilt Museum. Rector’s lecture is supported by photos of her favorite vintage to modern quilts; finally wrapping up with the story behind Iowa’s Dignity Sculpture depicting an Indigenous woman in Plains-style dress receiving a star quilt.
HLQG programs are scheduled 9:00 am – Noon, every third Wednesday of the month in the Fellowship Hall at the First Methodist Church of Marble Falls, 1101 Bluebonnet Dr. Members attend workshops on the third Thursday of the month.
